A survey of psychotherapy literature by Alfred A. Barrios, PhD., revealed the following recovery rates:
- Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions
- Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions
- Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions
Hypnosis has a compounding effect. It is best to have sessions in close succession rather than monthly or sporadically.
“Lauren has been pivotal in helping me achieve significant weight loss through behavioral change. Her approach is warm, empathetic, and professional. This comes through at the outset of every session, when she gently probes for enough information to effectively deliver a custom session with just the right positive messaging included while “in the chair. Speaking of the chair: it’s comfortable, and the office and environment is truly a safe space to do the work of accessing the subconscious. And that subconscious work isn’t scary with Lauren: it’s illuminating, and powerful in its capacity for growth, and even sometimes fun. I‘ve recommended hypnotherapy to countless others, as I’ve grown from the process, experienced its benefit firsthand, and learned to access my powerful subconscious in the everyday world.” – Michael
“In one session, I was able to release my life-long fear of tight spaces. Thank you, Lauren!” – Kate, LCSW
It all really started to hit me sophomore year of high school. I was struggling in math in particular and knew all the material from studying and from tutoring. When I went to take the test however, my palms would be sweaty, hands were shaking, and I would just blank out and couldn’t remember anything. My parents suggested I see a hypnotist to try it out in hopes of helping me through this difficult time. I felt a little bit unsure going at first, but I’m so happy that I did! My session with Lauren included being as comfortable as possible, and to just relax and allow her technique to work. I had no idea what to expect, but was relieved about how simple it really was. Until this day I do still get nervous with big exams, but I can still hear the voice in my head saying, “just relax you’re doing great”. It completely changed my life and really did help. I felt so safe and actually went back for two more sessions about sports and the anxieties that go with competition. Since I chose to partake in hypnosis it has helped me through college to be able to reach my fullest potential. I recommend trying it to anyone who is willing to let go, relax, and just allow the hypnosis to work. – M.G.
“It’s not a magic pill. The hypnosis just makes everything I want to do easier. I love it!” – Fran
“Lauren is simply an exceptional coach. Aside from her incredible professionalism, integrity, and brilliant mind, Lauren is empathetic, loving and most accepting. With her gift of intuition, superb listening skills, and her ongoing support, Lauren helped me focus on what is really important to me and turn my life around. I never felt more confident, motivated and at peace with myself. Thank you, Lauren, for making such a huge difference in my life.” – I.M.
